Court ordered Childs bank account with no financial link to EX, Is this Possible??

We had a similar problem years ago, we were trying to get a mortgage and OH had trouble with his dad's debts at their home address (made more complicated by the fact they both had the same name) we had to get his dad to sign forms to say the debt was his.

That was when bad credit was linked to addresses - these days it's only linked to individual people, so living at the same address as someone with bad credit shouldn't now affect yours.
