When do you need to move by? And have you spoken to your mortgage provider to see if your mortgage is portable? Will you need to borrow any more money to buy somewhere in your new location? x0

asap really but will wait for a buyer, i think its a portable mortgage0

do you need to move to a totally new area? have you looked at any houses yet?
I know its a bit of a minefield!0 -
Are you moving to a bigger house? I.e. will you need a bigger mortgage or can you just port your current one across?poppy100

Best thing is call your existing lender, and ask them whether your mortgage is portable. Alternatively check your original mortgage offer, as it should state this clearly.
Also, have your financial circumstances changed since you took the mortgage out? If you have incurred more debts, this may need to be looked at.
You can look to sell your property online, or use an Estate Agent. If you do this, book in three agents to give you valuations and also to quote you their selling fees.
This can be done without further commitment.
You may have to arrange a Home Information Pack on your property - the agent or your solicitor can arrange this for you.
If you are confused about the mortgage process, contact an Independent Mortgage Broker to help you.

How long ago did you buy your current property?
How much equity do you have in it, if any?Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0
