leaving neg feedback

Hi

I've been done by a conman who has stopped selling using the userid and now resurfaced under a new userid. I want to leave negative feedback but I know that using personal details it will be pulled immediately pulled by ebay once the seller contacts them (there is a chance he may not contact them). But how's about the something along the following lines?

"Conman takes your money and fails to send goods. You might recognise your items for sale from ebay user xxxxxx."

According to ebay's rules you cannot leave anything personal in the feedback but why not contact ebay telling them his old user id and the new one and explain the problem and see if they can investigate it

Unless you already have a throw away ID to use this won't work. If you set up a new id to win one of his auctions and then leave him neg feedback he can get it removed on the basis you are a malicious bidder. A new id cannot leave negative feedback anyway until 5 days after registration.

All ebay will do is check when you registered, look at your bidding history and if it looks like you registered just to buy from him and leave neg feedback you will lose the account. If that throw away account can be linked back to you then you will lose your main account as well.

Thanks guys for your ideas. I shall contact ebay. Though from the experiences other users articulate on this forum I won't hold my breathe for a result !

I wonder if there more conmen on there than in the general population ?
