Brown upset with banks

Just been on the radio news, the goverment is upset with the banks because they won't lend enough of there own (sort of) money to people already in debt, therefore as those people aren't getting further into debt the economy is going down the tubes.
Also on the BBC news website, the BOE is upset with the banks as they aren't lending enough money and are too worried about the whole credit crunch, which is not only overrated, but according to them is virtually already over.
Presumably, both want to carry on lending vast amounts of money to people who can't really afford it............

Didn't Blair get the timing dead right and Brown dead opposite. If Blair does really not get on with Brown, he must be sniggering into his prayer book right now, especially as Brown was the Chancellor before and can only blame himself
