I wanna cheap condenser dryer

DS says because the way my house is set up, I will need to use a condenser dryer rather than the ordinary kind. Something to do with the wood rotting, 
, but he had a look at mine and can't find out what is wrong with it, and suggested I get a new one. Can't ask DSS for a loan as it is not a neccessity.
