You could try taking a look at the My Supermarket website, too
Since this thread was originally posted, we have a Grocery Shopping Board, so I'll move this over.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
If I have time I use mysupermarket to compare prices of items on my shopping list, you can't rely on any supermarket to be consistently the cheapest across the board. But its time consuming and also doesn't cover shops like the co-op, lidl, aldi.0

if you use my supermarket and compile a list of your favourites, then print the basket , you can split the basket over two supermarkets to get the cheapest shop for each item at the time.0

Well the way things keep changing in price every week, I'm not sure that a spreadsheet would be worth the time and trouble. My supermarket has it's flaws in that it only lists certain shops but at least someone else is doing the hard work updating it every five seconds!
BTW My first thought looking at this thread was that you are taking a bit of a risk asking complete strangers to send you something to download! The vast majority would be legit but you just don't know who might be looking and what their motives might be........0 -
Dont waste any time on a spreadsheet, prices change far too quickly. The word shopping currently means going out & buying "stuff".It used to mean deciding what "stuff " you needed to buy and then shopping around to get a good deal.0
