Will I get my money?

Hello,
I gave an original bank draft of $7200 to NatWest Bank on 14 Feb. The draft was sent to NewYork and my account was credited a week later. On 14 Mar the bank took out this amount and after a long investigation they informed me that this draft needs to be sent as a collection. They also told me that they received only a copy of the draft.
I contacted my sponsor and I was told that since they only receive a copy of draft it can not be paid. NatWest says they sent an original.
I do not understand what to do.

Sponsor says: We can not release money till we get an original draft.
NatWest says: We sent original, it was not paid and according to US law the original has been destroyed and we don not have original.

I have been suffering for more than 2 months now and borrowing from others to live. Is there any chance I get this money? Can I take any legal actions against NatWest because it seems that they are responsible for all this.
Please advice me.......I am in a big trouble.

If you need the money quickly, then perhaps an international transfer using Western Union or pop down to your local post office.
Not the cheapest way,. but if you need a quick service.......

I would suggest you contact your sponsor ? and ask them to send the money directly to your bank account. If you havent got the money then they haven't paid.
Smells a bit fishy to me !
