Working/Child tax credit and Housing/Council tax benefit question

Hi everyone,

We have had our annual renewal pack for WTC and CTC. About a month ago we started to claim HB and CTB and i just wondered if this will make any difference to the WTC and CTC we receive?

I know we can't do anything about it one way or another as it obviously needs to be declared, but it would be nice to be prepared for any losses

Any advice would be gratefully received, thank you for reading :)

    no CTB and HB will not have an affect on a wtc/ctc claim

    It shouldn't do as its not income just a means of paying some or all of your rent and council tax.

    Hi,

    You do need to make sure that the Council know about your tax credits to take them into account on your HB/CTB. They also need to be informed of any changes to the amount you get in tax credits.
