"Written quotations are available on request" Que?

Written quotations are available on request.

Whenever you apply for a credit product of some kind, be it card/loan...whatever...what exactly does this mean, and what benefit would it provide for you ?

Always bugged me this, sounds like standard issue disclaimer garble as you see it everywhere... Are we talking about the credit lender would just send you a bunch of sample figures on how good the product is for you or pre-advise you of say what a credit limit may be if accepted etc...!?

Has anyone ever requested and received such a quotation and do they impact your credit score in the sense of appearing as a search !?

Thanks, Lopo

  • I think that it just means that you will get a copy of the terms and conditions of the credit often know as the small print.
I don't think they check with credit agancies until you have given your permission.
