What Happens To Your Mortgage Booking Fee If Your Remortgage Is Declined

I am currently applying to remortgage with the HSBC on their special 5 year fixed mortgage. The booking fee is £999. Would you pay this fee before they even investigate the documentation, value the house etc to see if it is a risk or not.
Im asking because i have about 15 bookmaker tranasactions (4 different bookies) in early Feb from when i started matched betting. If the £999 fee could be lost because they think im a risk then id rather wait until my bank statements are clear.
What happens if they refuse to remortgage you, is the £999 booking fee lost?!

If they decline you then they MIGHT refund it to you. Read the T&C's or the keyfacts or just call them up and ask them.
But I suggest you have a seperate account for your gambling in the future.
They do not trust gamblers unless your income is massive and your gambling just a little trickle.0 -
It's non-refundable AFAIK.Tough times never last longer than tough people.0

You could always add it to the loan, if you are decined you don't pay it. If your accepted then you could either leave it added, or choose to pay the fee, in the knowledge that you have been accepted.
