Mobile Chargers
Are the chargers they supply with mobiles these days suitable for 100v-220v as I had a problem with my Sendo charger on board a cruise ship with American two pin sockets. I used a three pin adapter and the phone showed as charging overnight, but next morning it was flat again.

We found with a couple of electrical items we took to America that the power just wasn't enough, sadly especially for my daughter's hair straightners which she seems to think were positively essential in the humid weather of Florida!
They did heat up but just not to what they would normally.0 -
If it didn't work then the charger probably isn't suitable for 120v electricity - just be glad you weren't making the mistake the otherway round (using a 120v charger on a 240v supply) - an American on a British cruise ship could easily destroy their phone!
Votage convertors cost a bomb and aren't really necessary. If you need to charge your phone a lot from 120v sockets look on American ebay for a US charger.0 -
not much point in buying a tri-band mobile for use in the US then if you can't charge it there!0

True - its something you never really think of. Laptop cable can usually be used with either voltage, but when I went to stay with my cousin a couple of years ago (who had emigated there) I had to use a great big bulky voltage convertor to charge my PDA (I didn't have a tri-band phone). Looked like this:
