Free voicemail

I have an Orange PAYG and rarely make calls but receive quite a lot. As I cant take calls at work it is costing me a fortune to ring my voicemail. Orange is good as I only have to make one call in 6 months (except I make more than that ringing voicemail)

Which would be the best PAYG sim to get that offers free voicemail and doesnt need you to make more than a few calls in six months. I would also like cheaper calls than the 35p per min cross network that Orange and Tmobile charge.

Any ideas?

  • Virgin or T-Mobile both have free voice mail. I prefer as it seems to be cheaper minimum calls cost per day.

Sorry didn't read the bit about x net minutes

JUst get a cheapy cashback deal on the three network.

The voicemail isn't free but with 500 minutes a month, there's little chance you will need to pay to listen to your messages.

Also you could ask people to call a uk geographical number you can register through sipgate.

You would then have the voicemails sent to your email address.

There's a big thread about this, just do a username search of me.

This is one thing that annoysme - & surprises me, about mobile operators!

Why they even consider charging anything, beats me - if someone calls you, leaves a message, you call them back = increased revenue (potentially) for fone companies.

So WITHOUT voicemail activated, they LOOSE £$£$£ !!

Guess most people use it, though!

Anyway, to answer the Q - 02 on the £30/month tarrifs.

    & good deals online https://www.o2.co.uk

With O2 you can disable your voicemail which is what I do. People then send a text if it's important. O2 Online is a very good tariff too, as you can now get 100 cross-network minutes for topping up with £10 every month.
