Windows Media Centre will not load and when it does my PC crashes

Looking for some help guys.

My Mecia centre will not work and everytime i click to open it, it loads up and freezes my computer and only way to get it back is to do a restart.

Any ideas what could be causing this

    Have you uninstalled it completely & then reinstalled. It is possible some other program install or computer change caused it. At worst it may be a fault with the hard disk

    You can't uninstall Media Center its part of the operating system and the chances of it being a hard disk falt would be very low and you would probbally see problems with other applications, did you get the problem after you installed a new peice of hardware of software?

    WMC known to have problems you dont say what OS you are using XP Vista ? it has more problems on XP .
    Media centre forum may be of more help.

    The only thing i have installed is a graphics card.

    Do you mean installing a new graphics card? OR installing the drivers for the graphics card that came with your computer?

    have you installed the latest graphic card drivers y/n or just the ones that come on a disc
    there or their,one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff
