It is, unfortunately, typical of the standards of people employed by MOST debt collection agencies. Whilst they have an obligation to ensure that the person, they are harassing, actually owes the money - they seldom do check the facts.
If this has caused you any distress, I would suggest that you complain to the Trading Standards Office, as Interim Justicia have clearly acted in contravention of the Office of Fair Trading guidelines to which they are supposed to adhere.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

DFW Nerd # 166 PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS0 -
I've had problems with Interim Justicia in the past, I had a collector knock at the door and my husband answered and asked what he wanted. He then went on to tell my OH which company I owed money to and how much! My husband told him I wasn't in and shut the door on him. I complained to the OFT and to the originator of the debt and eventually had confirmation that he had been formally warned before so was let go. He blatently ignored the data protection act and was just scare mongering.DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0
