MovieTyme.com order cancellation policy

Hi all,
I recently had a problem with MovieTyme.com - an online DVD retailer.. The problem is basically that the company will not refund order cancellations to credit cards but instead issue store credit. I questioned this on avforums.com and I was responded to in the thread I created by a customer service representitive. After the issue was settled quite amicably in the thread, I decided to ask whether movietyme.com would reconsider their cancellation policy. However, due to an affiliation between avforums.com and movietyme.com the thread was deleted. I then reposted the same question in completely generic terms and the thread was then closed. I'd appreciate some comments on whether I was out of order to ask, or whether it's a case of the mods protecting their "investment". I'd also appreciate an answer to the question that I pose 4 times regarding the legalities of the movietyme.com policy
