Debate House Prices
In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non MoneySaving matters are no longer permitted. This includes wider debates about general house prices, the economy and politics. As a result, we have taken the decision to keep this board permanently closed, but it remains viewable for users who may find some useful information in it. Thank you for your understanding.
We'd like to remind Forumites to please avoid political debate on the Forum. This is to keep it a safe and useful space for MoneySaving discussions. Threads that are - or become - political in nature may be removed in line with the Forum’s rules. Thank you for your understanding.

Taking on board valid criticism that house price trends vary hugely from region to region, and remembering back to threads within the last year or so concerning certain specific areas (W. London, for example), what do others think about starting threads (possibly stickys?) on specific areas? Given that we now have a whole board, there seems little point in trying to shoehorn relevant discussion into a single sticky thread. Obviously, general stories that affect nationally/individual enquiries/anecdotes etc will continue as usual. But it occurred to me this might help those wanting more info on their local areas, or to post local interest stories/figures.
Obviously, if the areas were too small, then the board as a whole would quickly get clogged up.
What do people think of say 9 threads: House prices: London, South East, South West, Midlands, North West, North East, Wales, Scotland & N. Ireland?
9 still sounds a lot, but it seems to me that if the areas covered get too big, then the figures/opinions/local anecdotes will be of no use to anyone.
Not sure where 'East' as in East Anglia etc fits - are they normally included in South East or Midlands???
All feedback much appreciated.

regional threads make no sense, as there's vast disparity even within geographical areas. It's a health benefit ...0
