4th Wedding Anniversary. Ideas wanted.

I only have a budget of £100. My 4th wedding anniversary is 1st September. My mother has offered to have our 2 children overnight on Saturday 3rd of September but I am stuck for ideas. Any suggestions ? I live in Birmingham.

    Hi

I'll be interested in this, because our 4th is in January. For our 3rd we drove via Eurotunnel to Calais and stayed in the Holiday Inn for 4 nights.

Hotel for the night £50 (Ibis) or a range for under £50 here

Use the remaining money for a slap up meal in chinatown/covent garden + travelcards +bottle of wine to take back to your room. Or you can just about get some show tickets and a McDonalds!

Have a good one, whatever you do.

Aint being funny but London? Besides, I couldnt be that far away from my kids. I worry too much I know :o

If it helps, here is what we did/had for our previous anniversarys.

1st - Bought matching fridge and freezer to go under new kitchen units. Anniversary budget blown on those.
2nd - Had friends round for a chinese. Money was tight. :o
3rd - Saw a mis- priced garden lampost in B&Q. Budget blown again !

This year I would like to do something more romantic. :D

London is wonderful-one of the better capital cities in the world if you ask me (if you've been to brussels and seen the peeing boy, you know what I mean!); hubby and I went to London and did something similar for our 1st and 4th wedding anniversaries...although watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when 7 months pregnant wasn't the most comfortable thing I've ever done in my life!

Your kids will be fine...and surely, if you're a worrier, you'll worry about them whatever you do, so you may as well enjoy the freedom for one night!
