I have got a long list of queries:
#Is it worth switching from 18899 to liquid telecom?
#Are there any hidden charges?
#any connection fee or monthly subscription fee?
#they have different plans to select, which one is best for making international calls from telewest landline?
#They are charging 2 pounds on opening the account...do they refund that?
I"ll be extremely thankful for replying to my queries

It might help if you could list a link to Liquid Telecom with some details about the service on offer.
Did you mean 1899 or 18899 ?To infinity and beyond!0 -
I think the 'should I/shouldn't I?' question is quickly answered by referring to the MSE article and searching therein for any mention of Liquid Telecom (hint, there isn't any).
EDIT 1235pm
Having had a quick look at their rates, your 1899 calls to UK 01/02 numbers via their 08081708708 cable landline access number are 3p connection and 0p/minute. With Liquid Telecom it looks like you'd be paying 2.25p/minute or 1.25p/minute or 0.95p/minute depending on the time/day.
Calling Spain, 1899 would charge you 3p connection and 1p/minute via their 08081708708 cable landline access number. LQ's rates appear to be 3p/minute.
This is going to be quite an easy decision isn't it?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
actually my problem is that the country i want to make a call is not listed by 1899 so that's y i want to change it. I was only worried about any hidden charges?
ANyways thanks for your opinion0 -

In that case, I'd recommend staying with 1899 (08081708708) for your UK calls and using the MSE CallChecker and NiftyList to find your cheapest route to whatever country that is.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market.
