I have two cordless BT Studio phones and I leave them on the charging station most of the time. I'm going away for a fortnight. Is it safe to leave them sitting on the base station?

They'll get warm but it should be safe enough.

Personally, I view the annual 14 days away as the ideal time to let the pair of AAA nicad batteries in both of mine run completely flat (it's supposed to be good to do that from time to time so that they don't develop a 'memory').

It certainly seems to work - I do it with my mobile one month and the wife's the next as well and that seems to prolong their life.
Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
    They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").
