Our last bill which has just come through covers 1st August 07 - 18th Feb 08 and was 112m3. Now I don't have the first clue if that is alot or not!!

For 3 of you the UK average consumption should be approx 180m3 a year. So at 112m3(assuming it is based on actual and not estimated meter readings) for six and a half months you are using about 14% more than average.

Interesting, do you know if this is the same for other companies, such as South East Water? (or Southern)

No idea.. I know that Wessex do water and sewerage for their water customers, and sewerage for Bournemouth and West Hants Water customers, (I work for Bournemouth and West Hants Water). My parents are with Wessex and get a rebate for discharge of surface water to a soakaway, best thing is to ring your sewerage / water company and ask them... they should know.

That's really interesting, thanks. Looks like we need check for leaks and then keep being really water conscious!!

I have water meter and I read mine every week. I average between 1 and 2 cm per week. There`s 4 of us in our house 2 are teenagers. I do average 4 washes for clothes and perhaps 3 dishwashes per week. Youngest has bath every other and the rest of us have showers every day.
