I thought the Government had given the go ahead to tying you into contracts for 12 months - so just double check the terms.

    .

True. Its also true that SP ( nore most the other energy companies) have not implemented 12 Month contracts hence the reason I posted the answer I did. :p

Our electricity is currently with Eon and the Gas iswith Scottish Power.
Could we take advantage of this offer - or does it have to be completely new applicants - ie not current customer even though it isn't dual fuel?

People have posted saying that they have received cashback even when just moving from one plan to another via quidco. ;)

Yep. I got £60 from British Gas just for moving price plan, but it took a Quidco enquiry to get it.

Dunno if I fancy chancing my luck on this one, but if there's no annual contract and I do it in time for the summer months, hmmm...

What's to stop you switching to Scottish Power and once you've received the money via Quidco switch to E.ON and do the same again?

Quidco try and discourage people from claiming repeat cashbacks from the same company.

There is of course nothing to stop people from going on a merry go round and using another cashback site to avoid using quidco for the same company. ;)

Peeps make the most of it before 12 Month contracts become the norm. ;)

I am with Powergen/e-on. No problems with them except on rare occasions when their web site is overloaded. I am on their "Extra saver 5". Last year I change to Saver4 about November, there was a price increase this year and they brought out Saver 5, which had the same rates as Saver 4, so no price increase for me this year. You need to go onto their site say twice a year and check to see if they have introduced a new rate. It is simple to do.

Quidco saving £55 for dual fuel.

  • hmmm, I'm not sure what to do about this.

Would Scottish power be worth it for me? Two of us live in a three bed house, gas central heating, and we use relatively low amount of power. Only lived here for about 10 months (and only had gas for 5 months) so hard to work out our annual usage.

Just run it through ENERGYHELPLINE and put in £350 for gas and £250 for electric and see what the outcome is. No need for exact figues, these will be near enough.
