Recommendation - sony lcd or pannasonic plasma?

Hi all

Narrowed a tv choice down to 2.
Sony 32d3000 lcd and Panasonic th37px80 plasma - both can be got for £680ish and both will fit in the living room without overpowering it.

Question is, which one?
Don't mean for this to turn into a plasma or lcd debate, but for mainly freeview and SD dvds, which to choose?

Ive not seen the px80 but have a th50pz70 and the picture is excelent even with a standard def source

Out of those two the panasonic is def the best

TX-37LZD70 Panny LCD looks interesting, cant make my mind up about Plasma, nicer for movies, but less robust? I hate the fact that when you start looking at these things for an extra £X you get a feature and then another, so your initial spend of £400 ends up at £800 because you think you need all of the bells.
