I ordered one of these phones same problem sim number not matching invoice. Phoned carphone warehouse was passed around from one department to another, they told me that they would phone me back within 72 hours to tell me when they would deliver a new phone and to send the other back. No phone call so I called in to one of there shops this morning and told them the story and they put £10 on my phone there and then.

I had the same issue, different numbers on my receipt. Rang CPW CS, he looked at the numbers on my receipt and asked which ones I was supplied with...then raised a £20 credit on my account (2 phones) so I can go instore and collect them on a slip.
Gonna hopefully be puttin them on ebay
Maybe I got lucky but the CS bloke at CPW I spoke to was great.0 -

i called cs at cpw and they told me to go to nearest cpw and they would give me the £10 credit. i stuck it on my phone and twenty minutes later the original £10 was credited so i got an extra £10 for my extra day wait. cheers cpw...You cant take the trousers off an elephant!0

I received no credit after 8 days, despite the numbers on the SIM and invoice being the same. So sent them a message via their website (under the Cashback/Chequeback option).
They replied in just over a day and Virgin credited my SIM five days later - without me having to go into a shop.
This 'situation' is not limited to the J110i and Virgin however. I bought a Sony Ericsson k800i + £10 airtime credit with O2, from CPW before Christmas. Same thing happened:(0
