Sony Ericsson phone at carphone warehouse for £12.95 inc £10 credit.

I just tried to speak to CS at TalkTalk on their 0800 no.
Chap from Carphone Warehouse answered, he said they have a brand new promotion going out today of Sony Ericsson J110i phones with £10 airtime credit, for £10.00. He said it was a max of 2 per customer. They want the payment there and then and they would be sent out today, for delivery tomorrow.
I asked if there was any catch, he stated none at all. They're on the Virgin network, PAYG. He convinced me to have the two, and insisted there were no other hidden charges, ie delivery.0 -

does anyone know if this phone is locked to virgin? I know a lot of the carphone phones arn't, would like it to take abroad to use in spain/tenerifea please & thank you is all it takes :wave:0

Well i got my phone last Monday and STILL haven't had the £10 credit put on the phone yet
Will wait till the end of the week then phone them but thats pretty appalling. A male chef of 4. My restaurant is always full and i don't need to tout for business.

i recieved my phone last week, but still havent recieved the top up, i think i read somewhere on this forum it takes about 8 days.0

Still not had my £10 credit and according to details on the website I should have had it by 1st March - see below (from website)
Airtime Credit Information- Pay As You Go phones and Pay As You Go SIM cards purchased online or through our Direct Sales teams come with inclusive airtime credit.
- Your airtime credit will be applied to your account automatically after purchase:
- For Orange handsets, your airtime credit will be applied on the 8th day after registration with Orange.
- For all other networks, your airtime credit will be applied on the 8th day after purchase.
- Please allow the full period described above for your airtime credit to be applied to your account. If the appropriate period has passed and you have not received the credit, please contact our Support Team on 0845 601 0411.
- Please note should you decide to return this product the airtime credit is non-refundable.
Edit - saynoto08700.com suggests 0800 0491008 as an alternate freephone number for the number above (Friday afternoon job I think)All the World is a Stage; and I'm going through a difficult one at the moment!0
