I have to buy a present for a lovely 9 year old boy. I'm not too sure on what he'd like!
I think he's into all the usual computers, clothes, films etc. I wondered if anyone had a fab idea. I'm looking to spend under £20.
Thanks

Not exactly a fab idea, but what about a gift voucher for a computer game, or cdComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0

Not exactly inventive, but you could just give him the cash. What child doesn't like having some money to spend.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.

my boy turned 9 last week and he had games, money, vouchers etc. but the thing he's liked the most is geomag. he's never had it before but he's fascinated, and wants more kits with panels and suchlike so that's what he'll be spending his birthday money on. amazon sell geomag.52% tight0

What about tickets for a day out at a local attraction. Very useful with school holidays coming up.
Argos had a leaflet in store selling kids Speedo shorts for £4.99. You could give him this with money for a swimming trip and ice cream.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Lots of kiddies that age really seem to be into music, so I would ask him what music he likes and get him a couple of Cds. You can buy most for under a tenner each at http://www1.cd-wow.com/0

My son has been to a couple of 9 year olds parties, and they were thrilled with Bionicles (like complicated Lego!). That seems to be the 'in thing' in his friendship group. You can get sets from about £5.
Footballs never come in wrong either, as they frequently burst or lost. Here I go again on my own....0
