If you HAVE to have a booster seat (i.e lack of space for multiple car seats) then this is a good price.

BUT IMHO - booster seats are nowhere near as safe as a booster seat with a back - these protect a childs head and often has 'wings' around the head to protect it and stop any broken glass going in a childs eyes. We have britax hiliners - which are now widley available for about £40 (after a safety test recommendation) but there are other makes in a vast price range from 19.99 (mamas and pappas one in argos) up to hundreds!!

Obviously any seat is better than nothing (and needed to comply with the laws) i am trying not to sound preachy here - we had our son on a booster seat for several years until we were made aware of the additional benefits of the booster with a back... I would hate anyone else to be in the position where we were that we thought we had made an informed choice but infact we hadnt!

Excellent post...my daughter still uses a booster, but it's useful to have a spare in the boot for visiting children, rather than having to get a booster from the other parent. We have two cars and currently only three booster seats, so I'll be pleased to get another.
