A new camera!

for my in-laws.

I have been searching around and with a budget of £100, the best I can find is the Panasonic Lumix 7.2mb at £99 at Play.com and few quid cheaper with quidco.

But before I part their money for this camera, I would just like to check with you guys to see if it's the best camera/deal.

Any comments, suggestions and other recommendations are welcome.

Thank you! :money:

  • I know little about cameras, but would suggest you check "offer of the day.co.uk" (sorry, but unable to post link as it's not accepted on this site) There's a link to cameras on the left which will show what offers are out there.
  • "offer of the day.co.uk" im addicted to that site now...lol.....thanx
Happiness is not having what you want...but wanting what you have!!!
  • I bought the slightly more expensive sony dsc W80, but this W55 model is within your budget, I did much reseach pricewise and found this site to be unbeatable. I am very happy with my puchase, you can read many reviews here too.......

No problem, I actually visit it on a daily basis and it's where most of my Grabbit threads come from.
It is getting a little more congested lately as they're adding new retailers like Debenhams, and M&S - but you soon get the hang of it.
My advise for anyone looking for something in particular is to check that site 1st, and if you find something you like, check the cashback sites and make your purchase that way.

I just bought my mum a sony dsc w55 for her b'day and I'm very impressed, so impressed I think I may get one for myself when I have some money. Very clear pictures, stylish camera, macro, video mode, lots of diff scene modes, clear menues, easy to use, nice big screen.
Think it's retailing at comet online for £90 something.

If you really think the Sony DSC W80 is impressive, then Tabasco might want to consider it, seeing as it can be purchased for just £109 delivered by going through John Lewis and using promotion code SHE851PCH445 which gives £20 of a minimum £100 spend.

Of course, maybe worth looking at what other cameras John Lewis have to offer for a £20 discount.
