Is anyone buying and selling less on ebay.

I used to be a prolific ebay seller but its harder to shift stuff and make a profit and their fees (along with Paypal's) are too much for me. I use Gumtree now most of the time as it is free and I have made good sales on there although sometimes it takes times as it is not auction but a stated amount. A couple of things that didn't sell on ebay sold very quickly on Gumtree for a very good price. I just think ebay has lost its value, even as a buyer I can normally find better deals searching the web than on ebay these days.0

I used to buy Boss and Armani shirts off e-bay for £10, obviously in the full knowledge they were seconds/fakes. Now people want £20 for the same fakes, so I've gone to M&S - £15 for a pack of 3 white shirts:beer:0

Another thing which has changed since I started doing ebay is the introduction of the sniper tools. As a buyer I find that I can get some great bargains using one of those.
I know I have a certain amount to spend and, whereas in the old days I might have got caught up in a bidding war in the excitement of the chase, nowadays I just type in the amount I am willing to pay on my sniper tool and if I win I win - if I lose, I lose! :cool:I don't drink, don't smoke, don't go out - why aren't I rich?
Don't worry, I'm working on it!

I've been buying less - mind you, that's because I found this site and realised that I needed to stop spending so much!
Maybe I've just been lucky, but I've never had a really bad experience, mainly as a buyer but I have sold a couple of things too.0
