Friday 8/02/08 What small dfw thing have you done today???

Couldn't wait to start this one again Sophie Sorry!
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will;

- Brought in a packed lunch, with homemade bread and flapjacks:j
- Left purse at home
- Having a lovely home cooked meal instead of takeaway/dinner out before heading out tonight

I've written to Trading Standards about 2 banks failing to provide CCAs within the requisite timescale. What the have sent also doesn't comply with the Act or the Regulations.

I made noodles / veg for lunch this morning, rather than buying lunch as a friday treat (and I have a £5 M&S voucher, so whilst a brought lunch would have been free, I could put that to better use).

Well... I put the figures into the budget planner thingy, and not feeling so upbeat about it. Don't get me wrong we have more coming in than going out, but I amg going to have to do some serious tweaking to be paid off by the end of the year.
So I will tweak my budget
I have done a couple of surveys
checked Quidco (Tracking £95 this month)
I will check online banking,
Do washing on economy 7
Investigate scrapping my old car. At least it will get it off the drive. DH wants to swap tyres on it with his same make/model take fog lights off and wheel trims. I think they may be bound for ebay.
Eating out of freezer tonight. I know exactly whats in there, coz I wrote it all down yesterday.:cool:.
