NB. Originally raised this on the proper cash back thread but have not had a responce as of yet. So have raised it in the main forum again - hope this is OK.
I have just applied for a new CitiBank Platinum card and just this week got it through the post. I applied for it as Martin's article said you got 1% CB. However, none of the welcome pack mentions CB and neither does the web site. It definitely did when I signed up (about 3 weeks ago).
So the question is, do you still get your 1% CB with the CitiBank Platiunum?

Hi,
If you want my advice take the card, cut it up and send it back to them without ever having used it. It'll save you a lot of bother.
If you search through the threads here you'll find multiple tales (my own included) about their underhand tactics regarding the cashback card. If it doesn't explicitly state in the Ts&Cs that it's a cashback card then it's not. Ringing them up and asking won't help. Complaints to the MD have apparently borne fruit in a few cases but if you ask me that's a bit too much to ask for.
I'd advise going for Amex Blue/Platinum or MBNA Conran instead. Amex has great customer service, MNBA give generous credit limits.
