Need an ipod nano

Hi, it's my sisters bday and I need to get hold of an ipod nano (the new one with video). Don't know the first about all of that stuff at all.

Just wanted to know if there are any places I can buy it from that do a good student discount, does anyone know?

Also, any cheapest places? Been racking my brains trying to find somwhere!!

Please help. xxx

P.S.. Can't resort to ebay/amazon/play etc.. need it for tomorrow.

Apple used to do an educational discount on ipods - but not any more. The price of them is pretty fixed, but you can usually get a few quid off here and there.

I'd go with either Apple directly (easiest way to get it, and for warranty purposes) or a good/trusted third party seller (Amazon/CancomUK) something like that.

EDIT: woops just reread your post (i should really finish reading posts)

    the high street retailers are:

    HMV
    Argos
    Currys.digital
maybe some department stores (i know John Lewis do)
or an Apple authorized dealer (small shops some towns have one)

If you buy online from some of the stores above, dont forget to use a cashback site like Quidco and sometimes you can get a discount code

    Don't buy it from Currys/PC World .

I bought an iPod Classic from PCW to save a tenner over apple store and warranty returns are an absolute nightmare.

There probably won't be any stores (other than some online) which offer student discount on electrical items. HMV sell them but they are excluded from the student discount they offer.
  • Try Marks and Spencer. At the moment, if you buy an 8gb Video nano, you get a docking station worth £69 free of charge.

Not all stores do technology, though.
