no response via 1899

only just used the fone for the first time this morning.completely dead @ my end.anybody else getting the same.on ntl btw.

do you mean you aren't getting a response dialling the NTL access number for 1899, or you're dialling 1899 or you have no dialling tone fullstop?

by dialling the access number.normally u dial it and get the woman's voice telling u wot 2 do but it's just dead.

correct on the number.i even dialled the 'newer' number that's on their site but that's dead as well.most inconvenient.

seems fine dialling the access number from a non NTL line i.e. 0808 1 708 708 and I know my wife called me via an NTL line on 1899 about 40 mins ago or so

LOL. I'm doing some contract work for the biggest Telecomms company and can't get thro on either number. (Wasn't expecting to be connected but thought that I'd get the number is not recognised"

Both come up with: "Number you dailed has not been recognised"

Can get thro on 0207 number but that defeats the point of having this service. No response from 1899 apart from a new bill

i used the fone abt 20 mins ago and all is fine now.i wish they'd get a diff woman's voice cos i'm fed up of hearing the same one.
