this game is a must for hardcore pc gamers, just check the runnig specs first, graphic card upgrade is very likely. still getting the game cheap alows a little towards a new card.

Tedstouch is of course completely correct you should always check the minimum reccomended specification of a PC game before buying..

But to add a little reality about the concerns for 2142...

Yes its a great game I've wasted many happy hours playing it since it came out at the end of 2006...

But no its not a bleeding edge specification hungry monster...

Heres the science.... , its graphics engine (the software that handles all the cool 3D work and makes sure you dont end up standing in the middle of a wall or half way up a window...) was lifted directly from the earlier BF2 which was released mid 2005... and even then it wasnt that highly specified a game

So in summary...

It will play perfectly fine on a 128mb ATi 9600 / 9800 cards (these being the oldest/cheapest of the cards quoted above) in fact as we speak a friend of mine is doing just that.

if your computer is under about 4 years old it will (almost) definitely work. it will probably work on computers up to about 6 years old..

And Ted... if your graphics card is struggling then Definitely get the latest drivers from the graphics card manufacturer.. if that doesnt work then you have a bigger problem either with the computer or with your installation of windows....
