Ccj Not Cleared!!!!

Just wondering if anyone can give a bit of advise. Booked a holiday 6 years ago, eight months before we were due to go i found out i was pregnant and wrote to the holiday company- recorded delivery, to cancel the holiday. I heard nothing off them until I received a letter off my local court house advising baliffs were going to enter the property within 10 days to seize my goods- not nice with a new baby. I phoned the court and they held the baliffs off and gave us the details of the claimant- the holiday company. My oh contacted them, and whilst doing security checks advised that they had a different address on there system, my old employers address. All previous documentation had been sent to them. We tried to challenge them in court but 2 days before court date we received a letter advising they would charge us £500 per hour for there sol to be present. Contacted a sol myself and on the court date he settled. We paid in full via the sols and we each got a letter saying it was settled. Had a look at oh credit record and it is still on there as unpaid but mine is clrd. In the meantime we have applied for credit and been charged a higher rate- we assumed as he is self employed and a higher risk. Now it appears this could pay a major factor in this. What can we do bout having to over pay when the court sorted mine but not o/h. Sorry to be so long winded- just need to vent.
