    Not very much in Calais any more though, if you're after cheap ciggies you need to drive upto Adenkerke on the Belgian border.

    Apart from buy decent bread, cheese, eat good food ..............................

    I agree though - Calais is pretty dire, but then, would you want to spend a day in Dover? - you only need to drive inland a few miles to get into France. I can recommend Guines - used to eat regularly at Le Lion D'Or.
