winzix?

hi

dh has downloaded a file last nite but it is in the winzix format, can someone tell me how to extract it? would be nice if dh came home from work and i can tell him i have done it for him.

    If you mean winzip, then you can download and use this.

    well

    the file definately is winzix, when i try to extract etc it says

    "fatal error detected, archive file incorrupt or incorrect: archive file "winzix is unsupported"

    not being very technical myself, i do not have a clue what this actually means.

    yes i have just realised this, i could kill my dh, he has now downloaded this and i have pain in the butt adware popping up, typical as i have only just managed to get rid of zango and now this:mad: like i say i am not technical but dh tried for ages to get rid of zango.

    shall now go and try to get rid of it.

    Good luck, it's a stubborn app to remove, some of the virus scanners also detect a trojan embedded in it so your problems might just be starting :mad:
