Lowell Financial & CCAs

Hi all, me again!
I have just sent a CCA request to Lowell Financial (recorded, signed for, not signed by me & including the statutory £1 sellotaped to the letter!!!). What I'd like to know is; has anyone sent a CCA request to Lowell before? If so did they come up with the goods? If they didn't produce the CCA, what happened next?
As alot of you know I've just started my DMP with CCCS, but am trying anyway I can to reduce my debts. I've just written to the Student Loans Company as well - I was too late to defer this year (I am on the old scheme and don't have to pay back until I'm earning £1400 a month net), so I have asked nicely if I can defer again.
If things go my way that'll reduce my immediate debt by £2200!!!
Hope everyone's having a good day

Just bumping this because I have never had the 'pleasure' of dealing with Lowells, but I know there are plenty of people on here who have."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

My request for a CCA request to Lowells resulted in the account being passed back to the OC - who then didnt have a true CCA so the debt was in effect written off though I still havent had the default removed.
They are not the nicest of DCA's but were quick to pass it back and to date *touch wood* I have had no further contact from them.
Edit: Sorry, is the debt to Lowells for a Student Loan - if so, I think, though not 100% certain, that Student Loans do not fall into the remit of being able to request a CCA but I will look into this for you and get back to you.0 -
i had dealings with them and they were able to produce a CCA and statements. Now paying off at £40 per month for £15k debt. Having said that they did provide me statements for free so now able to recover charges against CC company

Can I please just ask what address your sent your letters to.
I need to send a CCA request to them and cannot find any of my letters from them at the moment.
Thanks,

The new type don't fall under the CCA74 but the old (pre-98/7) certainly do. I've checked that on mine, which were 94-98 ish.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
