Can you suggest a printer?

Ok, I give up.
Despite my old Lexmark model being listed on the Control Panel as having Vista 'onboard drivers', it just won't work when set as the default printer. They're lying, basically.
Can anyone suggest a cheap and cheerful printer (under £30) which has relatively cheap replacement cartridges and which, more importantly, is known from personal experience to work without trouble with Vista Home Basic?
Very grateful for any ideas.

Bumping this one last time.
Can it really be that nobody out there has any experience of buying a printer for a Vista machine?0 -
You'd have more luck if you gave a bit more detail. Are you after B/W or colour, laser or inkjet etc....Stompa0

Perhaps no-one has spent under £30 so cannot advise you.I bought a printer in December that works fine with Vista and does what I need. It's a Canon Pixma MP210 at the time it was £45 but with £20 cashback so only cost £25, however the cashback has now ended so no good to you I'm afraid. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of payments.0
