Canadian Affair has some of the best prices for flights to Canada, try here: www.canadianaffair.com

Agree with missprint Canadian Afair are very good. They are a tour operator not an airline, the flights are with charter airlines Air Transat or Thomas Cook.
If you can get a Thomas Cook Boeing 757 flight with them, they are excellent. Ok its not business class, but the aircraft is specially configured just for Canadian Affair, and has 35" seat pitch in all seats (BA and Virgin is 31"), and all seats are leather. Very comfortable, especially considering their prices are usually very competitive anyway.
Also try http://www.flyzoom.com they often have very good prices and their business class is pretty good value.
I should also say that http://www.flyglobespan.com also do Toronto, but I wouldn't recommend them, especially not as you're trying to send you're mum as a treat!0 -
Cheap and cheerful is Air Transat. http://www.airtransat.co.uk/en/0_0.asp Flight out from Gatwick in June is approx £85 and back is about £145. That's cheap, and there is an option to upgrade . I have flown with them once a few years ago (economy)and it was OK. Meals and snacks were provided free. No personal tv only shared overhead screens and you have to pay for earphones..2 dollars. It's obviously much better in Business Class.Something strange that I've never seen before was that the Captain chose 2 lucky seat numbers and gave out a gift bag. I was one of the winners and got a bottle of wine and a canvas shoulder bag.0
