Close to Bristol Airport

I will be at Bristol airport in a few weeks on a Sunday evening, I will be dropping somneone off at 4:30-5pm and picking someone else up at 6:30. The cheapest car park I can find is £15 so I was thinking, could I avoid the airport totally, is there somewhere nice nearby that I could have a nice early dinner?

Personally i'd say drop them of then go out the airport turn right and head into Churchill there are a couple of pubs there on the main road and advertise food at reasonable prices. This is about a 10 to 15 minute drive maximum:hello: Lets all save a £ or two, lets all earn a £ or two, and lets all enjoy spending that £ or two wisely.

Yes, I would second Churchill. The Stag and Hounds (on the right hand side about 1/2 a mile after the traffic lights into Churchill) isn't bad at all and reasonably priced. Certainly, the outlaws' family have used it and raved about it in the past...0

Thanks for those responses, I would nearly rather getted ripped off than pay £15 for a couple of hours parking.
I have tried a few pubs just past Churchill on the A38 southbound and not been overly impressed but I'll give Churchill a go.0 -
The Plough in Wrington is a good pub. My best recommendation would be the Bear & Swan in Chew Magna. A friend of mine was restaurant manager there until recently.0

I can recommend The Pony and Trap in Chew Magna

The Stag & Hounds was always OK - very 'foodie' with lots of 2-4-1 offers.
The Winford Arms is on the A38 towards bristol - basic pub grub at reasonable prices & a large carpark. The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"
