Where to sell a pile of CDs

I've got loads of CDs to sell, well hundreds really!! I've put many onto Amazon already were I'll make a nice profit after fees and postage. I've got some on the borderline which would make me a small profit but I'm not sure wether to bother listing them. And I've some that are sellling on there for a 1p to 99p which aren't worth listing. Infact I've about 200 or so of these. Now I don't know what to do next!

Whats peoples cut off point for profit when selling CDs? Does anyone have any idea were I can sell a job lot of CDs. The pop ones I can sell at my next carboot, but I've got loads of indie, brit pop, hiphop etc.. which might not go so well at a carboot. Any ideas!??

I also have a pile of limited edition vinyl records to sell. I approached a collector who offered me £100 for around 30 records. On his site he had just one of these for £45. I declined his offer!

Just a note: I've really sold loads of obscure CDs that I thought nobody would want for prices ranging from £5 to £15.. so it just shows ya!

thanks

  • Perhaps find a website of enthusiasts etc and upload a list of what you've got asking for offers. I've done that with DVD's before that failed to sell on ebay for 99p and managed to shift a lot of them.

If you're really stuck, put them on freecycle for free. Often freecyclers will show their gratitude with a gift of a bottle of something in exchange for taking away something you couldn't shift.

For that matter, if you've got a load of britpop/indie stuff I'd be interested in a list of what you've got!
  • I've found that a lot of people forget about the classified ads in the local papers these days. For something thats not really worth selling on ebay/amazon or where postage is prohibitive, I quite often use the local papers or free advertising sites like Gumtree. It's surprising what I've managed to sell for a sensible amount here, where amazon/ebay would just be giving it away.

Good luck selling them op. Maybe you'll find a dj through the local paper who will buy them all off you.
