My dads credit cards

in Credit cards
My dad is getting stitched up like a kipper on his credit cards and I know he's not managing!
Luckily he is taking my advice, and we are getting some of it sorted soon.
He owes about £3500 and his payments each month are about 85 quid, about 45 of that is interest!
I tried getting him an Egg card but it declined. So I got him onto his Equifax credit file online and there is a BIG problem there.. There is an old file which has SIX payments registered as 3 months or more in arrears.. and it's from one of those pound meter TV's!!
Anyway, it's obviously wrong so I'm helping do his online dispute for it then hopefully will get him one or two cards offering 0% APR on BT.. that should save him a fair whack!
What a palava though eh!

Good job he has you to help him get it sorted................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -
In the meantime, if you're feeling generous, you could always get a 0% card yourself (assuming you're creditworthy) and transfer your dad's balance to your CC, thereby saving him all that interest he's paying.0

If you are feeling generous John perhaps he could transfer some of it to one of your cards.
Before anyone asks ... I am not feeling generous myself................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -

Haha - I don't think I'd get another one tbh.
My credit rating is average now, but I had late payments a year-18 months ago which I'm still battling.
I got an Egg card with 750 limit a couple months ago - my experian rating is about 750 (in the middle) - Same with Equifax..
