in Credit cards
Can anyone advise ?
I am about to apply for a new credit card probably Sainsbury's 12 month 0% deal as informed from Martin's site.
At present my current c/card (LLoydstsb)is £82 in debt of which i plan clear shortly.
I am about to apply for remortgage soon due to current mortgage discount rate finishes in FEB 05 (i want to apply now before any more interest rates rises,apparently once at "offer" stage the mortgage is open for 6 months before it becomes invalid).
Would applying for a new Credit card in next month affect my mortgage application/credit rating ?
???

You do not say whether you have defaulted by not paying the debt.
Having a debt of that amount would not, I think, make any difference................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -

@Kana.
Surely you can arrange for a direct debit to make the minimum payment to your credit card from a current account. Missed payments are a key factor in a credit report and successive missed payments are even worse. I don't think Lloyds would even bother registering your credit card debt with a credit reference agency until you missed a payment. Your future mortgage lenders are going to read about this failure to pay and draw their own conclusions. Try and make up with Lloyds before they are obliged to blight your record. Say you were on holiday or something and was unable to transfer the money.
