A lot of eBay categories have been changed over the last year - to improve the buying experience...

DVD's, Clothes, CD's and Cars were all bunched into one main category, with only really item specific information to separate them. Therefore you search for specific manufacturers rather than browse all by price or body style.

The closest you will get for american cars is either in the Other Cars sub section - http://motors.listings.ebay.co.uk/Cars_Other-Cars_W0QQdfspZ11QQsacatZ18308QQsocmdZListingItemList,

or doing a keyword search for LHD and/or American

Most of the car listings on eBay are classified ads by traders, but if you select the Auctions tab at the top of the screen, it will generally filter out most of the day-to-day stock listings.

There's a site I had bookmarked that showed US Muscle cars on eBay - http://www.ifoundthistoday.com/muscle-cars/ - all based in the US, but we can dream!

You'll find American cars listed as a category under 'classic cars' these days.

all i can see is a classic car section...with all brands like ford, vauxhall blah blah...no seperate "american " section to filter out

That's a bit odd - I just navigated my way over there although I really shouldn't as I need another car like a hole in the head :rotfl: and the 'Make' section on the left reads

    Alfa Romeo
    Alvis
    American
    ...
