Will the police gave me any information about a person on the naughty register
My daughter is 19 and she met someone online about 3 weeks ago and she's been meeting him in town but the things she said about him (I won't say what) seemed that he had something to hide but she couldn't see this. Yesterday she messaged my other daughter to say she's going to visit him at his house so I asked where he lived and she said he's not allowed to say so this rang alarm bells so when I got back home I searched on google for his first name and the place he's from and there's a person that I think that maybe him and he's on the sex offender register indefinitely so can I send the picture to the police to see if it's the same person as I will need to protect my other daughter that's 16.

Search Sarah's Law
The Child Sex Offender Disclosure Scheme (commonly known as Sarah's Law) allows parents, carers, or guardians to formally ask the police if a specific person who has contact with their child has a history of sexual offences.

Sarah’s law would not apply to the 19-year-old who is not a child. It is debatable whether there is enough of a link at the moment to allow disclosure with regards to your 16 year old. You can make the request. The Police can decline it.
I would suggest there are probably quite a lot of people with the same first name living in the same town so that is extremely tenuous indeed.

Yep - but I suspect that a convicted sex offender who is searching for potential new victims online is likely to use a fake first name anyway.

I've spoken to my daughter and it is the person I thought it was but he's using a different last name online. On the picture the police released he looks different to what he looks like now but his hairline gives it away.

Surely the obvious course of action would be contact the police as this man may be breaking the law (or similar) by using a different name online. I would have hoped that given your suspicions, your elder daughter would cease contact with this man
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales3 -
This. He may be under certain restrictions for using the internet depending on his conviction so yes this does need reporting to the Public Protection Department at the local Police.

If he's on-line chatting up your 19 year old there's a good chance he's also talking to other young people.
He needs to register any alias including stuff like gamer tags with the police. So at the very least inform them of that.

IMO, 'naughty register' is a facetious and offensive description of the Sex Offenders Register

both are equally offensive with good reason

I don't really understand what you mean, 'naughty' is not massively offensive IMO, it describes something minor…
To be clear, what I meant was that 'naughty' seems to minimise and undermine the seriousness
