Help, I downloaded VOIP a couple of months ago, but have not used it for a few weeks, I tried to use it today and am having probs! ie trying to use tp phone a local nuber of mine, I ente 01472 then the number. A box comes up & says I must enter my country number & gives an example +44
so I try that before my local code. A voice then says, sorry we do are not able to phone this number at the moment. Its done this for 2 or 3 days!! I have redownloaded the software, just in case I have misse any updates.
Any one got any ideas.

No problems here.
You are dialling +441472 and not +4401472 by mistake? It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

I am having a problem where as when I turn on my computer, amongst other things that appear on start up is a window that says " Error report, unable to register, please check your settings" can' find where this is so can't use the service, any ideas?
Thanks.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
If it's the settings within the 1899 softphone, it's the 3rd button on the right at the top, this will take you into the settings, select VoIP Accounts, there you need to ensure the username and password are correct.
Username: 1899[+phone number] IE) 189902038888888
Password: Your 1899 account number.
If they are correct, then it may be a firewall or router problem if you have one.

These are correct and the soft phone works,( didn't work after downloading newer version, but appears to now) however it is the newer version " VOIP CLIENT" that gives the error messageDon`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Is this the VoIP client from 1899?
If you have older versions still on the system, it maybe causing some confusion.
You could un-install all the versions, and then add the new version and see if that makes a difference.
Though would be worth keeping hold of the old install file, just in case it doesn't work, don't want to be left without a working version of the program.
You could also give Firefly a try. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... I have the older version on the system for the simple reason that I cannot uninstall it, it has been unistalled,i.e it is not now in the list on the add/remove system but is still available on my computer, this despite emailing 1899 for info re completeley uninstalling and receiving no response.
The new version was working up till about 10 days ago,and one day it decide of its own accord to work, but since then the error message appears.
I have firefly installed but not ofay with itDon`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

New to Voip, but a lot of companies seem to now use the US overseas prefix for getting a UK number ie 01144...........then uk number without the 0.Moi....?

You must be using USA VoIP based services. With Sipgate you just dial like a UK number - 0121 314 .... and for international calls either use + or 00. VoIP Buster software does require the international format for all numbers - +44 121 314....It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc...
