Contraceptive Injection = Weight Gain

i put on a stone within 8 weeks of getting the depo came off it, went back on it about 18months later and put on a further stone

Ahh, good idea. How long ago did you have the one dose of depo? Could it be that once the depo wears off the 'problems' will return?

Was it on the implant you had problems with cysts? I so want to ask where as I'm having a nightmare with them!

I had a implant put back in, in september not had a problem since i only had the depo in june/july. I think that it was the implant i was having problems with because i still have some cysts left and im perfectly fine now

also if you have recently changed your sex life that might be causing it too, i had only been seein my bloke about 2 months and thats when the problems had properly started.

lol! well you know just incase like im not getting any for the next 2 weeks

i must warn you that it does hurt when they are removed she cut my arm too short of where it would come out then tried to flick it out!!!! she then had to cut my arm some more to actually get it out it has caused a bit of scarring but ive had my new implant put in just above so it all looks like one scar

When I had the jab I bled for a whole year then the doc took me off it and then I bled for another year !!!! No weight gain though.

I've not had any bleeding since I've been on it.
Just the odd "period pain" like twinge.
To me Depo is the most reliable contraception as I was forever forgetting to take my pill.
Think I'll just have to bare with it for now and try and shift the weight off myself. =]
