Money Moral Dilemma: Should my daughter return to work for the company that made her redundant?

I'm assuming she'll be on probation again if she re-joins the company, and again they could let her go for whatever reason within that probation period. You say she now has a better-paying job and is very settled. Friends in her previous job isn't a valid reason to return, as she can keep in touch with those friends outside of working hours. And she'll make more friends in her new job.
My opinion - advise her to stay where she is now.

It doesn't say how much time has elapsed, but she may have 'rose-tinted specs' on when looking back at her time there. Not worth the risk in moving back there to find out.

I would not go back if in an enjoyable, settled job.

This isn't a question. If the pay and conditions were much much better then maybe go for it. However, I would just say thanking, but no thanks.

No way! They don't deserve her loyalty, especially if she is happy now!
