MSE Forum Poll: Which household bill do you find most stressful at the moment?

Council tax. Not the bill per se, more the context. It's completely outwith our control, keeps going up and up, more and more services are cut/restricted/charged for separately, and they're still in more and more of a deficit every year. I don't really blame the council, but anything further risks getting political.

Council Tax is now like a mini mortgage where the end is never in sight.
And filling our oil tank as there’s no energy price cap for heating oil.

I put none because there's no one bill standing out. It's just the accumulated amount that's the problem.

Energy bills are the biggest headache. Unlike a fixed mortgage or internet plan, they’re so unpredictable. You’re always one cold snap away from a massive spike that throws the whole budget off balance.

Council tax. I'm a student but went part time for health reasons (doing a PhD), my uni only offer 50% part time but my council only give student exemption if you do >50% so my stipend went down 50% but I became liable for council tax - was very annoying
