Received a Claim Form from DCB Legal on behalf of Euro Car Parks

DCB Legal are claiming on behalf of Euro Car Parks for an incident where my partner paid for her car parking ticket but left slightly after the parking end time that was displayed on the ticket.

I recently successfully defended 3 PCNs in court for a road which claimed to be a car park thanks to help on here. This is a little different though.

Does she have a leg to stand on. Attached the claim form which I need to help her respond to.

Yes and there will be no hearing because DCB Legal always discontinue ECP Claims for single PCNs. Defend. See you in the Summer!

We don't even need to know the circumstances. DCB Legal don't read it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • When I defended my PCNs i mistakenly responded to the claim via mcol. Where can I find the email that I should send the template to?

You dont use email,  You will use MCOL, for safety reasons , to avoid a default CCJ

Study the first two posts in the defence template thread in announcements
  • Thanks both.

Just submitted the AOS have 33 days from 17th December before the defence is needed.

Will have to work out what to include from the template defence, as its very hard to work out what sections to include.

With an issue date of 17/12/25 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 22/12/25 and before or on 05/01/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 19/01/26
Regarding what sections to include, read this response by @Gr1pr: -

I have never had a private parking company court claim,  research tells you what to do,  we read a lot,  and learn, a life lesson for all if you read a dozen recent cases, you soon learn the do's and don'ts
